We are the Business Intelligence team. We assist the organisation in making profitable and efficient business decisions by collecting valuable and measurable data. As part of our data strategy, we collect and analyse meaningful data to build products and services that are relevant and helpful to our clients.

About the role
As a Data Analyst at First Source, you will gather, process, transform, and organise data into actionable insights. Your methodical and logical approach will be crucial to maintaining data integrity. You will identify data trends and inconsistencies that can impact our business goals. You will solve complex business challenges by using data-driven techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs, carry out data-driven activities using data governance tools, and Design data flow processes while maintaining data integrity.

• Identify and resolve gaps in the data collection and analysis processes.

• Present data that facilitates accurate analysis, processing, and consumption across departments for effective decision-making.

• Spot potential business challenges, create and submit a report on them, and execute the plan drawn to overcome them.

• Build and manage databases and track trends that can be helpful to make business decisions.

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with different teams across the organisation.

Minimum requirements

• Experience with data modelling techniques such as Kimball star schema, Anchor modelling, and Data Vault

• Proven exposure to Database reporting tools such as SQL

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R and ETL frameworks

• Experience in machine-learning algorithms

• Fluency in data visualisation

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into optimal business decisions

• Solid background in statistics, mathematics, or engineering

• Ability to present data using various tools to help the team make informed business decisions

• Exposure to statistical and data mining techniques like GLM/Regression, random forest, boosting, text mining, social media analysis, etc.
