We are a startup operating in the intercity freight and logistics sector, looking for a Backend Developer (Python/Django) who can independently contribute to the development and improvement of our platform’s core backend. This role involves close collaboration with frontend, product, and operations teams, and offers the opportunity to play a key role in scaling a real, production-grade product. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, a startup mindset, and the ability to use AI tools intelligently to improve development speed and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve backend services using Python and Django
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework
• Implement and maintain business logic related to orders, pricing, shipments, payments, and settlements
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to Design schemas and optimize queries and performance
• Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS providers, and external APIs
• Debug issues, fix bugs, and actively contribute to improving system reliability and code quality
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to backend Architecture improvements
• Use AI tools to assist with coding, Refactoring, Debugging, and understanding existing codebases
• Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and QA teams in an Agile, startup-driven environment

Requirements:

• +4 years Hands-on experience with Django Framework and REST API Design
• Good understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT or token-based)
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL, including schema Design and basic performance Optimization
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (Gitlab)
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of features, and deliver production-ready code
• Effective use of AI tools for software development (coding assistance, Refactoring, Debugging, code comprehension)
• Understanding of best practices and limitations of AI-assisted development
• Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to fast-changing startup environments
• Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced product team is a strong plus
