We are looking for an experienced, unstoppable machine learning engineer to join our team and help us deliver better data products to our clients.

As a machine learning engineer on the team, you will help lay the foundation that allows the team to accelerate and therefore more effectively scale its impact. Examples of specific problems you’ll help solve: detecting shifts in data used by ML models to identify issues in advance of deteriorating prediction quality, estimating the uncertainty of model outputs, automating prediction explanation for model diagnostics, designing a feature store that promotes sharing of data among different ML models, etc.

• Can effectively partner with applied ML scientists on the team and lay software foundations upon which models can be built.
• Are experienced in building ML infrastructure, with an eye towards software engineering.
• Can show your strong coding experience (e.g. Python, SQL, Java, open source ML packages). Knowing Scala or any other functional programming language, is a BIG plus.
• Are doer, not talker: Our performance directly impacts the commercial performance of our clients, so you will not only understand and model but also close the loops by productionizing your development. If you are not a level 4+ problem solver, don't even apply please.
• Are fast mover: The culture is go, go and go faster. Of course you will break things by running fast which is understood and even appreciated. Just focus on learning fast and changing fast. And yes, we believe in agility and a selective interpretation of agile **manifesto.

💓 We love if you ... [a.k.a nice to have]

• Have at least five years of experience in applied ML or ML systems/infrastructure and solved real business problems (Research projects for sake of publishing a paper and PoCs are not counted)
• Write clean code that’s testable, maintainable and solves the right problem.
• Know about the latest developments in the ML community, combined with the ability to decide which of these are most relevant to our priorities and translate them into opportunities.
• Have AWS knowledge and know how to use ML services by AWS to deliver results.
• Have experience with Spark or Hadoop and Database schema Design for ML pipelines.
• Contributed to open source: Make us happy with those green dots on GitHub!
• Are good citizen of remote teams. You don’t assume others know, so make everything (meetings, decisions, thoughts, code, etc) explicit & traceable.
