Job Description:

Site Reliability Engineer is IT professionals who collaborate with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to manage code releases. They cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, Testing and operations teams and keep existing networks in mind as they Design, plan and test.

Qualities:

• Be responsible for ensuring the health and uptime of services in our cross-cloud environment (Kubernetes).
• Help to understand and diagnose the root causes of performance issues and crashes across our many micro services
• Be a point of contact for engineers and other team members, helping ensure and promote optimal platform usage
• Help to maintain and scale our many and varied data stores and infrastructure, such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and Redis
• Help to maintain and optimize our CI/CD pipeline
• Provide tools to monitor performance, deploy code and provision machines
  
  Requirements:
• Be responsible for ensuring the health and uptime of services in our cross-cloud environment (Kubernetes).
• Good programming skills in one of C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Python or Go, and an ability to pick up new ones.
• Hands on experience in CI/CD Automation, test Automation, and infrastructure configuration
• Familiar with managing the Dockers based environments, such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
• Knowledge in Automation (Bash, Salt stack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Familiar with virtualization such as VMware
• Experience with Relational Databases (Postgres or MySQL).
• Experience with version control, specifically Git and Gitlab
• Familiar with Redis and RabbitMQ
• Familiar with NoSQL Database, such as MongoDB
• Exposure to technologies such as Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus , Graphite
• Familiar with open source log management and reporting technologies, such as Graylog, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK stack)
• Familiar with configuring web servers, such as Apache, Nginx
