Job Description:
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Porsline, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure, applications, and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain systems that are robust, scalable, and highly available. Your expertise in Linux, Docker, Database administration and Monitoring tools will be crucial in ensuring the success of our technology operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure and Deployment Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Automation and orchestration tools.
  • Manage and optimize Linux-based servers and ensure high availability.

• Database Administration:

  • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including Backup and recovery strategies.
  • Implement Replication (Streaming, Logical) and high availability strategies.
  • Implement scalable architectures and techniques like partitioning & sharding

• Application and Service Reliability:

  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain configurations for load balancing and reverse proxy.

• Monitoring and Alerting:

  • Set up and maintain Monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop custom Monitoring solutions to ensure the health of our systems.

• CI/CD Processes:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated Testing, deployment, and release.
  • Continuously improve CI/CD processes for faster and more reliable software delivery.

• Incident Response and Automation:

  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to incidents and outages.
  • Develop Automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members to enhance overall technical capabilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps role.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker.

- Experience in PostgreSQL administration, including tuning, Optimization, Replication, partitioning and sharding.
- Familiarity with Monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for Automation and tool development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward incident resolution.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
