Here at Fintranet, we are excited to welcome a talented and enthusiastic Lead Backend Developer with Solid Experience in Software Development to join a fast-growing FinTech Start-Up headquartered in the heart of global FinTech advancements, the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will help us Design, develop, and maintain massive infrastructure supporting solutions targeting MSBs (Money Service Businesses) and other financial operatives located in EMEA. The right person will not only be working to build and spearhead the key functionaries for Fintranet but be at the forefront of all things Backend.

What You'll be using (Our Tech Stack)

• C# and .NET Core Latest version
• Entity Framework Core
• Database development: Code First and Database First Approach
• SQL and Non-SQL Database pattern
• Cloud Base Infrastructure

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and Debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Employ cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and Design requirements
• Write technical documentation for the work produced
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

• Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team

• Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system Design

• Directing the development team in the Design, development, coding, Testing and Debugging of applications

• Writing testable, scalable and efficient code and leading code reviews

• Mentoring junior team members and ensuring they adhere to determining software quality standards

Who You Are (Requirements)

• Exposure to developing Web-based applications
• Strong in .NET, NET Core 3.1 and above, C#, ASP.NET, T-SQL
• Strong Development experience in RESTful API development
• Exposure to writing with Entity Framework
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming principles and SOLID principal
• Strong Understanding of DDD
• Produce the testable code and write unit and integration tests
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum Process
• Able to adopt coding best practices and standards
• Able to clearly document user stories/use cases, functional specification and Design
• Ability to interpret Architecture and provide implementation documents
• Able to document details of functionality, Design and Architecture of a component.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work outside the comfort zone and learn new tools and technologies
• Confident in the English language

You are working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business goals and ensure that the development team & technologies used are aligned with these.

The Tech Lead Key Requirements

• Proven success as a technical team leader

• You are a good mentor & coach

• You possess good communication skills

• Familiar with Domain-Driven Design and CQRS pattern
• Understanding of Azure services and deploying and Debugging cloud-based applications
• 5 years (or above) experience in the development
